Role Overview:
As a Supervisor at Little Learners, you will play an essential role in managing day-to-day operations, maintaining compliance with CCEYA standards, and ensuring the safety and well-being of the children under our care. You will lead by example, guiding a team of educators, ensuring high-quality care, and creating a welcoming environment for both children and families.
Key Responsibilities:
Maintain CCEYA and CCLS compliance requirements
Ensure the centre is ready for Ministry of Education and Public Health visits
Provide tours of the centre to prospective families
Plan and implement daily schedules, programs, and special events
Ensure children are provided with healthy meals and nutrition throughout the day
Maintain accurate records (attendance, medication, health checks, observations)
Support children in daily routines like eating, toileting, and activities
Ensure safety protocols are adhered to, including health checks and meal routines
Direct and support teaching staff with schedule adherence and shift assignments
Maintain up-to-date staff files
Attend all staff meetings, workshops, and training sessions
Uphold professionalism in appearance and communication
Ensure all food restrictions and allergies are managed correctly in the classroom
Provide exceptional communication with parents, staff, and visitors
Perform additional duties as required
Qualifications:
Food Handler’s Certificate (required)
2+ years of experience in the childcare industry
Previous experience as an Assistant Supervisor/Supervisor/Director preferred
Strong multitasking and prioritization skills
Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel
Familiarity with current parent communication apps
Strong leadership and communication abilities
